After installing oracle 11g on any machine it is running Very slow
Cause:-
If there is an entry for DNS server in config file than Oracle is either trying to resolve a name into IP address or an IP address into name for every client connection. This happens even for a connection from local server.Resolution:-
1. Connect to the database server using root2. Goto ./etc directory
3. Open resolv.config file
4. Remove any entry of DNS from that file
5. Restart the database
